Hondata FlashPro

The FlashPro allows full user tuning and datalogging of the 2004-2010 TSX. It includes Windows based software called FlashPro Manager.

The FlashPro connects from your laptop's USB port to your vehicles diagnostic port to provide real time programming, a variety of calibrations and extensive datalogging capabilities.

Price and availability

$695 - Available now for the 2007-2010 Acura TSX.
$50 - Adapter kit for the 2004-2006 Acura TSX.

The 04-06 Acura TSX will need to be retrofitted with a 2008 Acura TSX ECU which Honda retails for US $610. Kit includes adapter cable and fitting instructions. ECU not supplied.

Make sure you order your FlashPro through a Hondata authorized dealer so that you obtain the full benefits of the FlashPro, including warranty.

Supported ECUs

Important: Make sure that you order the correct FlashPro, and that FlashPro will work with your ECU. We recommend you check your ECU is compatible by entering your ECU part number below.

Located in the footwell between the driver and passenger. You will need to remove a plastic cover to see the part number.

* The software will also work on Intel based Macs running Bootcamp with the above specifications. Has been extensively tested and works well.  Parallels and VMWare virtualization software has been tested with no problems found to date.

Questions and Answers

- How does this work for the 04-06 TSX?
FlashPro does not work with the 04-06 ECU, so an 07/08 ECU is required. The Honda part numbers are 37820-RBB-A21 for the manual and 37820-RBB-A71 for the automatic. They sell for a little over $600. The 07/08 ECU plugs in and mounts where original ECU is located. Hondata provides a wiring adapter for $50 which links the ECU programming pins to the DLC. After the ECU is installed a Honda dealer will need to match the immobilizer to the new ECU.

- Does it improve rev hang?
Yes. Revs will drop sooner after gear change.

- Is there a rebate if I already have a Reflash
No. As the 04-06 TSX requires a new ECU. You are then free to sell your reflashed ECU.

- Are there base calibrations?
The 07-08 TSX has calibrations for common US intakes and injectors ranging from 310-1300cc. The 09-10 TSX has a different injector dimensions and as a result aftermarket injectors are not yet common.

 - Can it eliminate the second o2 sensor?
Yes. The secondary oxygen sensor is used to monitor the catalytic converter efficiency and assist with closed loop operation. For off road racing use in which a catalytic converter is not desirable, the secondary oxygen sensor can be disabled using the FlashPro Manager software without any negative affect on the tuning or operation of the car.

- Do I need dyno tuning?
It shouldn't be necessary for common part combinations (intake, exhaust), but you still have the option of custom tuning if you wish to get a little more. Camshafts and race headers probably will need tuning to get the most of the them - it will depend on the manufacturer. Dyno tuning is highly recommended for forced induction.

- What about smog?
According to US and CA law the FlashPro is for off road use only. However, if you did smog with you would find the readiness codes supported and complete as long as your emissions systems are intact and working.

- Will this work on more than one vehicle?
The FlashPro is locked to one vehicle. It can be unlocked and transferred to another vehicle by returning the ECU to stock.

- Can I share the calibrations I make for my car?
Yes.

- Do I need the laptop in the vehicle to reflash the ECU?
No. The FlashPro can upload either with or without a laptop.

- So does that mean 1 unit Hondata FlashPro can only work with one ecu or car only? Which mean I can't buy one FlashPro and use it together with a few of my buddies TSX?
One ECU and vehicle at a time. You can unlock the FlashPro by returning the ECU to stock, and then transfer to another vehicle.

- Any option of immobilizer control?
The immobilizer can not be disabled. We've implemented a number of features designed to protect the owner of the vehicle from theft, and one of these is not to allow the immobilizer to be disabled.

-Will this support a 64-Bit Windows Vista and Windows 7?
Yes.

- Can it control nitrous?
No. However, you can at least control the ignition timing to make nitrous safer.

- Will dealers need a software license?
No. Every FlashPro comes with the full tuning software FlashPro Manager.
