Closed Loop conflict?

Am I correct in thinking there are two target lambda settings that more or less do the same thing in Smanager v2.3.7.0? The first being under Options/settings/target lambda and the second one under Parameters/Closed Loop Advanced/Target Lambda.

Re: Redundancy/Conflict?

So the target lambda values in the tables are useless?

Re: Redundancy/Conflict?

Now I'm lost. So what does closed loop operation do? Doesn't it add/subtract to the fuel table values to arrive at your target value?

Re: Redundancy/Conflict?

So if I have my target voltage set for that which relates to 14.7 A/F and I have a target lambda of 13.5A/F in my tables, would the closed loop operation adjust my fuel table (in the background/short term fuel trim) to give me a 13.5 A/F reading?

Prevent closed loop & fuel cut below a certain rpm

Is it possible to prevent closed loop and fuel cut below let's say 3500rpm? I'm trying to prevent these features from occurring when the throttle slams shut after a 1/4 mile run. I would like the mixture to remain rich (to cool pistons) until the rpm falls below a specified target. Is it possible to...

Re: Redundancy/Conflict?

I figure the 14.7 Air ratio would be automatically calculated from the Voltage/Lambda Conversion Table settings.

Redundancy/Conflict?

Under Closed Loop settings in parameters there is a closed loop target voltage setting. Isn't this kinda doing the same thing as the target lambda settings in the tables for the closed loop area? If the two don't correspond to each other won't it cause a conflict? Please explain.

Re: Part throttle hesitation

Have you posted your map? Asking someone to troubleshoot your issues without posting the map being used is going to be very difficult. Oh I see it now.

What is your target Air/Fuel ratio in the idle range? I believe you may need to set the target mixture richer. When you release the accelerator after revving there isn't enough fuel to maintain the target rpm so it falls below. It only recover because the IACV kicks in and opens up to bump the rpm b...

VSS vs Gear vs rpm

My Smanager is reporting that I'm getting 125mph at 7560rpm in 4th gear using a H23 M2S4 gearbox. This seems high for this gearbox. According to some settings I see on the internet the ratios are 1st-3.307 2nd-1.857 3rd-1.32 4th-1.034 5th-0.812. Final Drive-4.266. I'm using these values in Smanager....

Had to add as much as 20% for cranking fuel trim to get a good start when cold. Is this normal or is it because my injectors are 1000cc and lazy? Cranking when warm is still fine. Thanks.

I thought about that but afterwards I was thinking that the cranking fuel trim would have an effect when it's cold as well as when it's warm and starting fine. I only want the adjustment to affect cold start. Will try it however.

Water Temp Compensation - Cold Start

Which water temp compensation affects cold start? Open Loop Low, Open Loop High, Closed Loop Low, Closed Loop High? Assume closed loop enabled. Car starts fine when warm - just want to adjust the correct one. As it is now when I give it a normal crank when cold it wont start in one. Crank again and ...
