Re: Running Hondata Mobile on your radio/navi

Ok, I've got it sorted out.

In my case I had to make an "adb_usb.ini" file and place it in the C:\Users\User\.android folder. This may be just me but I also had to NOT use any USB 3.0 ports.

The device code seemed to be 0x06d3

I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64bit

Re: Running Hondata Mobile on your radio/navi

I am connected to the correct USB port and the radio is set to device mode. My computer does acknowledge I’m connected however It fails to find the right driver prohibiting me from running the hack.

Re: Running Hondata Mobile on your radio/navi

Has anyone had problems getting their PC to install drivers once connected?

Lean best torque

Are "Lean best torque" tables used to adjust part throttle fueling compared to "WOT lambda adjustment low" being for wide open throttle only targets?

Re: Knock Control

Understandable, knock isn’t some line drawn in the sand for sure. Would you discourage any timing adjustment without the use of a dyno? What process do you use for identifying when you’ve reached the most that can be done before raising the octane? In the past I’ve always tuned for peak power levels...

Re: Knock Control

How bout that. I assumed I was able to monitor that. I’d sure hate to rely solely on audible knock.

Re: Tuning for VTA BOV?

No solution. You can't meter air just to release it to atmosphere and expect your engine management to cope. You'll probably never get the sound you want from any of the currently available BOV's anyways. The ones Ive heard are super tight and very quiet. They sound a bit like the Ch ahahah sound fr...

Re: Tuning for VTA BOV?

Don't use a VTA BOV. Can't be tuned, It vents to atmosphere after the MAF.

Knock Control

I've been reading about how to adjust the knock ignition limit for advancing the timing. After reading it a couple of times I think Ive got a resonable graspe on its basic operation. The knock control % and the Knock retard make sense now. It appears that Honda did a decent job making the timing ver...

Re: Safe Air/Fuel ratios

Very good information to know. Sounds a bit more like a Diesel piston than gasoline. Makes sense considering the intense cylinder pressures in these tiny engines.

Re: TC maximum pressure ratio

I've got it sorted out. After examining the data I found that 3200-4000 feet in elevation was putting me in the .855 atmospheric range. All of the adjustments I made were based on the +6 and +9 tunes. The problem being that all of the adjustments were made to the .974 range and higher. The good news...

Re: Throttle Response

I'm talking more about the throttle plate dampening or opening rate. I don't mean the "seat of the pants" response.
