Re: Flex Fuel - Can I build an E85 based map?
Don't zero that table out, ethanol fuel quality varies quite a bit, it's never exactly 85%. There is a reason a content sensor and calibration table is needed, the quality is very inconsistent.

Re: ECT Troubles
Doubt it's the problem because it would still read it would just be off but you should never ground PGMFI sensors to the chassis or body, they should always be grounded at the sensor ground input to the PCM. You introduce voltage offsets this way and if the wire isn't isolated from the rest of the w...

Re: AEM UEGO 30-4110 Install
Should have a near zero voltage offset, if you have more than 0.02 then the ground isn't good. The wideband controller should share the same ground as the ECU, Either run a ground wire to the thermostat housing (ugly approach) or use a open barrel splice to A24 (requires special tools to splice to e...

Re: install AEM uego wideband to S300
I dunno why no one uses the D14 input when there is info out there on how to bypass the op amp, get the full 0-5v range and reduce noise with a simple modification. I did it to my ECU and it worked great.

Re: DOHC ZC OBD1 Conversion - Ignition Timing
I've seen cheap aftermarket distributors that have poorly aligned trigger wheels inside that cause them to not be able to be set in time but I also have no experience with OBD0->OBD1 conversions and if there is something there that can cause this.

Re: No start, randomly dies
Recently helped a friend with this, you still might wanna take a close look at the board to see if the caps are leaking even though it's supposedly refurbished. His car would have all sorts of problems then we randomly would push on the connectors which was likely causing some flex in the PCB. Opene...

You should also post a datalog of the problem as it's happening.

Re: Please help with ridiculously troublesome idle
New aftermarket IACV or OEM? I've had bad experience with aftermarket ones, they tend to not really do a whole lot in terms of feeding additional air to the engine. The valve is also more of an idle stabilizer than something that can raise it enough to get the car to fast idle which is why the mecha...

Re: Can I use a flash pro on a 2019 leased civic hatchback
As someone who works as a tech at the dealer I have found a way to see if the car has been reflashed. Things that have been altered like MAF scaling or even switching the car to speed density will cause sensor values to not show in the iHDS software as if the car isn't equipped with the MAF sensor. ...

Re: SManager software requests
Small thing for us who obsess over the little details but any way to make it so that when you change settings for vacuum/pressure measurement it also alters it for the 3D table? Would like to see the 3D table show kPa or PSI rather than stuck in mBar.

Re: H22 newbie calibration
Sorry, haven't been here in a while but I don't know what you mean by tips and tricks with this setup. It's just going to require a redo of your fuel map if you went from a stock IM to the Euro R since they're very different, not really gonna be a bolt on and go modification like a cat back exhaust ...

Re: TPS values only change in key on engine off
Forgot to post but we took his ECU, loaded my map to it and ran my car and the ECU seemed to run normally. none of the odd problems were present. We're starting to think that his cheap OB2/OBD1 adapter harness may be to blame since it's using the original harness that the car had with the single cam...

Re: TPS values only change in key on engine off
Yeah, we'll try swapping ECU's tomorrow to see what happens. Also gonna check the signal wire at the ECU while the engine is running to see if the signal is even making it that far.

TPS values only change in key on engine off
I have an odd problem on a friends car I'm trying to figure out. If you datalog with the key on, engine off you can move the throttle through the full range and it see's every percentage change properly from 0% to 100% but if you run the engine there is no change in TPS when actuating the throttle. ...
