Re: +9psi map for CVT

Re: Not getting full boost
I have a 2016 base civic 1.5T CVT and just reflash with "return to stock" and unlock from vehicle. However i realise i'm not getting the full boost as advertised by Honda 16.5psi. The boost gauge on dash also 2-3 bars down from top. To be exact, i datalog it and suprisingly the BPCMD is only 13-14p...

Re: +9psi map for CVT
selecting "use MAP to determine WOT" also gets your AFRs at higher loads in check. so by default at WOT, the ECU is aiming for a 14.7AFR. Honda has these cars run in closed loop at WOT, which I guess is safe on these new direct injection turbos, but you won't see a good amount of engine power so the...

Re: +9psi map for CVT
Just to update this thread. I finished up with my tune on my car. Here are my thoughts. 1. +9psi(or 24psi) tune is a misnomer. For us CVT users running on 92octane(100RON.) In reality, you would like to add +9psi(24psi) from 4000rpm upto 5500rpm only and quickly drop it to +6(21psi) upto redline or...

Re: Knock Count & Knock Control
Can somebody help me take a look on my datalog of 40minutes of drive. I've look around forums and many said that we should ignore the knock count value and focus on knock control instead. But the knock count i've encounted still bothering me. 50k km now and i plan to keep this car for a long time, ...

Re: Just wanted to share a behavior that may or may not be normal- looking for clarification
I actually have the opposite happening, as you can see in this datalog from 2:40-3:00, I am stopped after moving and my car idles extremely rich for a good 20 seconds.
is that an AFM problem? should i watch at what AFM.v the car idles at and pull fuel from that range?

Re: TPedal maximum 96%
Here's a datalog that shows t.pedal is at 96% while t.plate is at 101%. Seems normal. TPEDALdata.fpdl Hondata, anyway to change the throttle pedal to plate ratio? "improve throttle response" seems too sensitive, while having this mod disabled seems to make the pedal too fluffy. would love an in-betw...

Re: TPedal maximum 96%
my t.pedal only makes it to 96% as well, but t.plate opens 100-101%. so it's as throttled as it can be at 96%.

Re: Should we be disabling closed loop when tuning AFM like older vehicles?
Yes. Proceed the same way. When happy with the s trim; re-enable l trim. I am personally going to limit mine to 5% +/-. All this would help with is the tune remaining close to optimal should the oxygen sensor start failing or if an exhaust leak would develop later on. Would not let the trims get co...

Re: Should we be disabling closed loop when tuning AFM like older vehicles?
Basically it keeps the global fueling adjustment for closed loop not functioning while you calibrate the afm table. You would want to dedicate a full day to doing this. Not something I would do right before a commute to work or anything as your limiting the ecu's compensating ability. Gotcha, what ...

Re: Should we be disabling closed loop when tuning AFM like older vehicles?
its under closed loop parameters. limit the long term trim percentage to 0%. I did mine for the last week or so to see what if any effect it had and am about to enable it again. Didnt change much of anything . Just a faster way to calibrate afm when starting from scratch. Thanks man, what makes it ...
