Re: Please help with ridiculously troublesome idle

can you post the complete calibration file? I specialize in 3g preludes as a builder and tuner. Feel free to PM me if you want. I'm motoxxxman on Preludepower and honda-tech, Steve Belliveau on facebook. Also, what cams are you running? How did you get the compression up to 11:1? Have you done a smo...

Bug/Glitch in 2.7.3 - tip-in retard conditions

I don't know if this occurs in older versions, but since updating to 2.7.3 I noticed an issue with the Throttle tip-in retard conditions. When adjusting vehicle speed minimum and maximum, the values can be changed. But as soon as I save the calibration or change tabs and go back to the tps ign tab, ...

Re: Wideband goes rich right after letting off throttle

this is fairly normal. It's basically the opposite of tip-in enrichment. Tip-in is when you quickly add throttle, the engine will naturally have a lean spike, and that's why tip-in enrichment adds a little extra burst of fuel for when you quickly add throttle. Quickly reducing throttle has the oppos...

Re: Found a dyno but owner want to drive my car.

It's your fault for assuming you would be allowed to drive your own car on the dyno. No dyno owner would EVER let a stranger operate a vehicle on their dyno. It doesn't matter what your education is. It doesn't matter how good you think you are at tuning. The only exceptions are World renowned tuner...

Re: Tuning fuel injector shutoff/overrun

1) fuel overrun is not what you should be messing with. change all those values back to default. 2) if the injectors do not shut off when at zero throttle, no matter what rpm you are at, fuel will pool up and cause a severe rich condition when you get back on throttle. Which will make the jerkiness ...

Re: Issue with flex fuel

the v1 board only supports flex fuel sensors if you use an ethanol content analyzer. It essentially is a converter that reads the flex fuel sensor signals and converts them to analog signals that the v1 board can recognize. You can not wire a flex fuel sensor directly to a v1 board. If you have the ...

Re: cel 15

code 15 is typically a bad ignition switch. On rare occasions it can be the main relay or the ecu itself.
Test your s300 board in a different known working ecu and see if you still get the same problem. If not, the ecu itself is damaged and needs to be repaired or replaced.

Re: Bad v1 Board?

there could also be an issue with the ecu itself. Capacitors could be leaking and losing power and/or damaging the board.

I would suggest trying your s300 in a known good ecu, and also trying a known good s300 in your ecu to see which component the problem chases.

Re: Bad v1 Board?

red light means a fault with the hondata board or the connection between the board and the ecu. Usually the first symptoms of the v1 battery going bad are occasional datalog issues, then it works its way up to communication issues with a connected laptop and/or the tune randomly corrupting or gettin...

Re: afr change

I'm guessing you're running the car in open loop at all times? Getting gas at different gas stations, and different brands, can have more than 5% change in fuel delivery requirements. That's why o2 sensors exist, to compensate for variables like this. Run the car in closed loop, and let the fuel tri...

Re: Fuel cuts randomly on a fully built ls/vtec with dino tune from years ago.

It looks like you may have an issue with your TPS sensor as you can see it dropping and then coming back. I would recommend trying a different TPS sensor. I looked over the datalogs when he posted this on honda-tech, and I suggested he post here. What I found was that tps seems to be working normal...
