Re: CPR issues/engine cut
I am still having issues with this. I sent in the CPR box to be tested, was told it was good Checked the wiring harness for loose connections/joints. And verified wiring was correct and strong according to instructions. Tried different power sources, different grounds and a combination of all. Tried...

Re: CPR issues/engine cut
Do I need to send the harness as well or just the box?

Re: CPR issues/engine cut
Sorry to bring this back up, but back to my original topic. We tried my CPR kit on another car and it has the exact same issue that it did on my car. I'd like to see about sending in the cpr box and having it tested and/or repaired if needed. Can you let me know what I need to do to do that?

Re: CPR issues/engine cut
I agree, but even with the same distributor that was working perfectly on the cpr kit, it did the exact same thing. Nothing mechanical changed. Timing was set with the cpr drove the car off the trailer and parked it took the cpr off, left the dizzy on put in the m&w pro - 10 to test timing was w...

Re: CPR issues/engine cut
Right, and when I do that, the single white line will line up. But the timing is still way off. You can tell by the way the engine is acting. It pops, hesitates, wont rev clean or even past 6k. When driving it, it jerks and backfires. Could it just be in the timing tables? I mean it was originally t...

Re: CPR issues/engine cut
Yes it has, but not enough to take it out of adjustment range. Regardless, even when I get the timing set by locking it at 16 degrees and the timing light shows the center timing mark lined up correctly, the timing is way off, by like 12 degrees advanced. And in top of that when the CPR was on, timi...

Re: CPR issues/engine cut
No, there is the tdc mark that is a single mark, then the 3 timing marks on the pulley with the center mark at 16 degrees. If I lock timing at 16 degrees I line it up with the center mark. If locked at 16 degrees and I set my gun to 16 degrees, then the tdc mark will line up. either way I did it, ti...

Re: CPR issues/engine cut
Also, I was wondering if you could answer another question for me. If I need to post this in another section, let me know. When I tested the other ignition, m&w pro-10 and new distributor, I needed to set the timing again. But, when I lock in the timing through smanager at 16 degrees, the timing...

Re: CPR issues/engine cut
That's fine, if there is nothing wrong with the box, that's what I want to hear. Id rather the box not become useless and it be an issue with the distributor or wiring. Feel free to PM me the RMA number and Ill get it shipped to you as soon as possible. That box having a clean bill of health will ma...

Re: CPR issues/engine cut
I don't think it's was a rev limiter. It felt like it did when I had a CPR kit but poorly installed and it didn't have good power and ground. It cut out then under acceleration and acted the same way as now. After testing tonight with a different ignition, I had no cutting issues as described before...

Re: CPR issues/engine cut
I ended up removing it and am testing a different ignition. I uploaded the tune with the updated software. I'm testing a the different ignition tonight and have went through the wiring and repined the ICM wire. If it does the same thing, we will know its something either in the tune, software, wirin...
