you are mixing ignition advance and cam angle degrees.
cam rotation has nothing to do with piston position.

Did he check your AFRs?
With the tuned map you will be running lean at WOT with your RBC!
But you will be safe if you do not kick the car,
at light engine load you should be in closed loop anyway.

so get tuned asap!
