Changing fuel is not the proper way to tune out knock. You tune your car for the proper AFR then you pull or advance timing according to knock. Alright....thank you for your post, I'll be working on that this next week. Too much going on at work to mess around with it too much. But my question stil...

Knock is related mostly to ignition timing and not to Air Fuel. I hear ya. But I've removed almost all knock by adjusting fuel. I'll soon get into the ignition tables, but I was wondering how the over all calibration looks. Is it pretty good or is there something else I need to be doing (as far as ...

Please check this log...wierd knock
Hondata, I think I've almost got this to the point of lasting me until I can get a proper dyno tune. I'm having an issue where my AFR is between 12.8 and 13.3 on my NA engine, but as I'm hitting red line, as soon as I lift off the throttle, I'm registering some knock. The AFR looks good right up to ...

You use too many exclamation points! Periods do quite well on their own! When you use an exclamation point, you need to realize it means you're yelling or very excited!! I'm looking forward to seeing your new #'s with a CAI though. I *might* order one myself to get my AFR's more consistent and to ge...

I think that would be awesome!!! It would also work on the iPod Touch if it works for the iPhone. This would absolutely cure the need for a laptop to be on in the car for just a couple of gauges. I've been trying to figure out if I want to hard mount my Panasonic Toughbook in the car, get a netbook,...

As a new user to new user post/observation: 1. I notice this too. It typically, like 90% of the time, happens when I let off the gas right as, or within 400rpm after, VTEC engages at 4750. There's two ways to minimize this and I will address those in the third question response. 2. I've not messed w...

When people have a really high knock count, like in the thousands, the folks on 8th Civic figured out that it's some type of update/install glitch. If you'll uninstall and then install the latest FlashProManager, then reflash your car using the newest version, the really high knock counts stopped ha...

Tuning process
So today, I made some of my first A/F adjustments in FP and it was pretty easy. Here's my questions. When I'm doing low speed fuel, once I get that finished, do I do the high speed fuel? Aren't I supposed to do all the cam angles while on the low and high? 0, 15, 30, 40 and 50? On the graph to the r...
