Re: cooling fan still always running and P0118 error code

... and the error code P0118 ECT Sensor High Voltage..." There's your answer. The ECU is seeing an abnormally high voltage on the sensor input wire, which means that there's no continuity from that pin to ground. So either the wire's broken, the sensor connector's open, the sensing element is ...

Re: Does KPro manage engine rpm on deceleration

Hmm, okay, that's what I figured. I'd think that if there was a leak in the inlet it would cause a high idle. I have the IACV enabled, which works fine except for an odd occasional surge in idle rpm (a couple 100 rpm) which lasts a couple seconds, then it'll settle right back.

Ok well ive fixed it, user error on my part On the Lotus ecu to set the TPS high and low points you just move the TB through its movement and the ECU picks up the max and min With the hondata you have to hold the TB at full throttle to read the upper setting, or it defaults to the lowest upper sett...

It's probably faster and more accurate to feed a variable voltage into the O2. Record both the voltage and O2 ratio and presto.

Use an ohmmeter and check the resistance between the wires you have connected as the heater - it should be very low, like <20 ohms. If it's higher, it's miswired. Sure sounds like it's miswired though, considering it worked with the old one and because it's complaining about a heater circuit error.

Don't know, but it's (at least) 50% the buyer's responsibility to determine that himself. Yes, knowing will help you sell it, but it's not up to you to provide tech support as to what cars it may or may not run properly.

I found that a small jewler's screwdriver works well, available from either Home Despot or Radio Shack, and a lot cheaper than the Honda tools.

Corrected! I understand your questions better now, but at the end of the day, does the very slight error even matter? You're off by 12 counts out of 12976, or within 0.1% of perfect, is that good enough?

0x0CAC = 3244 counts, and 12.964ms / 3244 = 3.996, very close to 4. 0x079D = 1949 counts, and 7.784 ms / 1949 = 3.9938, very close to 4. So it's pretty obvious that each count is 250 us [corrected: 4 microseconds], . Frankly I'm surprised that you have the sw and hw background to get as far as you d...

KManager.exe infected?

Today when I started my PC, my AVG virus protection sw says KManager.exe is infected with "Trojan horse Dropper.Small.HQZ"

I have not updated KManager on this PC for months, so either this is the result of an auto-update from Hondata or AVG. Just thought I'd let you guys know...
