Re: Differnce between Stock equivalent and "return ecu to st
Thanks for the replies. I understand that a AFM and MAP calibration will run differently, however I'm simply puzzled to how the AFM stock equivalent calibration would cause knocks while the "return to stock" wouldn't as I would like to use the stock ignition for my stock (for now) Si. I a...

Re: Knock control
Knock control is related to the ECU's estimate of the fuel octane. Normally it will decrease without knock, and increase with any knock. Do you know why am I seeing such a big difference in knock control between RTS and my hondata tuned maps ? Are the native knock tables the same between stock ECU ...

Knock control
May I know what does "Knock control" in the datalogging means? I did a RTS followed by a datalog this morning on my car (FD2R) and noticed that it is always in 95-100% range. On the other hand, my tuned maps fluctuates between 0% to 50%.

I think you current sw cannot work with this firmware which is a newer version.
As I do not know of anyway to downgrade the firmware, you may have to upgrade the software to 1.2.2 instead.

I see that your firmware for the flashpro unit is 40.
40 comes from v1.2.0 onwards. Have you tried using v1.2.2 which is the current version?

So does the different mode still function properly after flashing with flash pro?

Re: Temperature compensation for fueling and ignition
Usually the tables are either calculated (ie not a lookup table) or in a form that can't be presented for editing (which is essentially the same thing). I'm never had to change any of temp compensation tables in any of vehicles. OK. Thank you for clarifying. I suspected (I hope I was wrong) that so...

Re: can't upload calibrations and ecu is stuck in recovery m
This is indeed troubling!
Just to be safe, I would suggest not uploading any calibration to the ECU when you are in a remote location or place which you cannot leave the car unattened for long duration!

Temperature compensation for fueling and ignition
I see that some calibrations has compensation for both fueling and ignition (eg TSX-07-MT-1). Some only has fueling (eg CRZ-JP-1). Is it because such compensation do not exist to begin with from the factory or was it a feature that Hondata cannot implement? What are the implications of not having su...

Re: Weird knocks in cylinder 3
Does the knock count increase when the engine gets hot? No. Same. I don't track nor push the car hard. Just normal driving to and from work. Let me say again the factory map don't knock under the same condition. All these are done over extended period of monitoring (ie I would drive for 1 week on e...

Re: Weird knocks in cylinder 3
since the ecu with flashpro cannot differentiate the false knock (normally sounds from race headers) and the real knock... you will need a knock mic with the head-phone to do that. But the problem is the knock only comes after 1-2 days and get worst over time. If that is so, then you will need to h...

Re: Mugen RR
engjoo: Yes, when performing to RTS, the stock map will be from Hondata. The Mugen ECU uses the same ECU as the FD2R.. so, you should be able to reflash it using FlashPro. As the Mugen ECU on the RR is limited and hard to come by... I would leave the Mugen ECU alone. Goodness. How would I know if m...

Re: Mugen RR
Hi one of my customers has a original FD2 Mugen RR. I would like to supply him with a FP. But he had a few questions that i want to clarify before i proceed with the tune and the sale. 1) If he was to "return ECU to stock" would it flash back the original map that came on the car? or a st...
