Re: overrun cutoff injector recover

I noticed alot of differences in MAF calibrations and MAP calibrations for FN2.. eg. With engine off, in MAP cal, MAP sensor is 950+ mbar, but in MAF cal, it's 1000mbar. And it's the fluctuating MAP pressure that is causing the unrest idling... Find that car running more stable in MAF calibration. B...

Re: overrun cutoff injector recover

weird... I tot most said MAP tune is better in eliminating rev hung and overall stability... I just revert back to my old MAF tune, and there's no such rev swing... rpm drop steadily to 1k rpm and 750 when car stopped completely... I also noticed that the dead time for injector is different between ...

Re: overrun cutoff injector recover

Any tips to eliminate the unsettling rpm through tuning?
I've tried removing and adding fuel at the idling area,
and noticed that even i remove fuel to the extreme, the engine will still rev up.

overrun cutoff injector recover

Hi, can anyone advise how to eliminate the unstable rpm whenever i'm coming to a stop or when the rpm is returning to idling speed? Presently I always got the rpm coming down to 1000 or less, and rebounced back sometimes to 1300-1400 then drop again. Sometimes it will dropped to 600plus and rebounce...

Re: Weird knocks in cylinder 3

Hi CivicRSA.. Not that i would like to trouble myself, just tat I was wondering why a RTS can caused my car to run so badly as well. I just wanna find out is it the stock ecu map is so badly done, or my car is seriously problematic. When i drove my car after RTS, it is definitely don feel like a 200...

Re: RTS question

For the benefit of all, I guess i'll do a RTS and bring the car back to dealer and ask them why my car run so badly. I bet they will blame me for flashing the ecu. Don't know if i told them hondata guranteed RTS had the car back to stock map works anot... Since hondata reps here keep insisting that ...

Re: Weird knocks in cylinder 3

Ya... I hope they will do it for me. Cos in my country, dealership is very particular abt all mods that one has made to their car.
They will deny all warranty and push all blames to mods that cause any failures.

Re: Weird knocks in cylinder 3

Thank you. I have check my car, and there's nothing wrong with it. Puzzling to see that a type R can run so badly in stock ecu. Before reflash and after reflash and gg back to stock is 2 different car. I seriously doubt that the rts is back to stock ecu. But there's nothing i can do but to order a n...

Any answer? Is the knock sensor more sensitive in MAF tune.. so has to set higher value?

Re: Weird knocks in cylinder 3

Hi civicRSA, I'm using the latest version. 1.1.8.5 Spunkster, I'll bring the car to check. But the car drives good when I switch the knock sensitivity higher. It will still detect knock in cyl 2 if the ign timing is too high. Therefore I tend to think that the car got no prob. Idling ok, high cams n...

Re: Weird knocks in cylinder 3

Can the admin or whoever looks at this? Basically the only thing i can do now is turn off the knock control. I can't even return my car to stock with the sky high knock retard and continues knocking. The knock control wont come down. Or is there something seriously wrong with my car? Can't be as I'm...

Re: Weird knocks in cylinder 3

Again, today i start from fresh with my base map. As usual, knock occurs at cyl 2 which physically i can heard some pinging. I reduce and fine tune the timing until there are close to none. But when the car gets hot.. Cyl 3 starts giving random knocks again. I've posted the datalog. I uploaded a hon...
