This has got to be an interesting conversation, a spark plug type causing a usb-serial error? I'm subscribing to this thread..

I would look into another regulator to drop the pressure, as that may be part of your problem.. Have you checked the datalogging to make sure that the map sensor is reading correctly, (verified with a boost/vacuum gauge)?

As spunkster said, remove ALL of the JR extra crap completely (FMU, IAT enrichment relay, etc). Also, when using thehigh pressure Walbro 255lph, it easily overpowers the stock regulator, making it hard to maintain a lower fuel pressure, but the tuner should be able to work around this by altering in...

In addition..

The ability to view datalogged a/f ratio/difference from target lambda/etc like the older S200 systems.. I feel that would cut tuning time down a bit, and make the transition between the two softwares that much easier for those of us who tune both systems..

Is this the JR kit for the Civic Si, or an RSX kit? From the rumors I have been hearing, you may want to try a different injector than the RC 550, perhaps the 650's, or another brand of 550's.. We had the same sort of problem on a 2002 Si with the JRSC kit, Doug at Hondata just found out some intere...

You do not need an obd1 distributor, your distributor should work just fine.. Check into any possible wiring problems first, perhaps trying another ecu adapter, or checking the connections on the distributor plug on the engine harness?

If the belt is not slipping, now is the time to tune it. There is no sense removing the belt and aftercooler if it is working properly. All you need is some decent tuning.

Steve, the person was asking whether or not he could use the hondata datalogging software with a stock ecu, not whether or not other software existed that could do this.

Thank you for your comment, although it sure did not make you look any smarter.
