Re: Is this false knock?

Compare this to "Shek 49". Shek 70mm TP, 50.fpcal Shek 50 (1).fpdl Shek 50 (2).fpdl Shek 50 (3).fpdl I can't figure what is going and was hoping someone on here would be able to help. Is this false knock? I started suspecting the Cam Chain Tensioner but not sure if I'm hearing anything abnormal with...

Re: Is this false knock?

I pulled more timing out and was able to get logs with almost no knock. You can see this in the logs for "Shek 49" calibration. Shek 70mm TP, 49.fpcal Shek 49 (1).fpdl Shek 49 (2).fpdl Shek 49 (3).fpdl Shek 49 (4).fpdl Based on this, I pulled a little bit of timing in the areas as indicated by the l...

Re: Android applications

Can the Mobile app command the FlashPro to start datalogging to itself? So the FlashPro unit can be totally hidden from view and be controlled from a phone. In addition, it would be nice to transfer calibrations to the FlashPro via the phone and then use the app to simulate a firmware load sequence ...

Re: FlashPro Requests

Thanks for the explanation. Ignition Advance = minimum(MBT Ignition, MBT Ignition + Knock Ignition Limit - (Knock Retard x Knock Control)) Seems like setting the KIL tables to a really high value (and compensating the main table accordingly) is effectively the same as setting the Knock Retard tables...

Re: FlashPro Requests

You can calculate the actual ignition based on the knock control value, but why not just disable the KIL tables? They seem unnecessary unless you use different grades of gas often. On the Si at least, even with the stock tune, the knock sensor appears to pick up a lot of false knock and needlessly ...

Re: FlashPro Requests

Can you add a feature to the logger that populates the Ignition Timing matrices with knock counts per cell?

Re: FlashPro Requests

One of the features about FlashPro not commonly discussed is its excellent datalog analyzer. It is really good and in most cases is better than viewing the raw numbers in a spreadsheet. One thing I would like you guys to add is a function that calculates the actual applied timing by taking into acco...

Re: Is this false knock?

Thanks for confirming! I'll keep pulling timing out over there. It's remarkable how much less timing there is there compared to stock. I think I've pulled 4 degrees out so far. I guess that's a good sign. The 70mm TP must be increasing VE there? And yes, that's how I look for knock. I zoom in wherev...

Is this false knock?

Attaching my map and logs for what I am suspecting is false knock. It mostly tends to happen around 1300RPM and 3000RPM at around 50kPa. I only use 93 octane (R+M)/2. Only mods are a 70mm TP. This forum collectively has seen many logs over the years and I have little experience with this particular ...

Re: FlashProManager v2.0.6

Where can I find more info about the new Throttle Angle vs. Flow feature for the S2000? It stemmed from this discussion. http://www.hondata.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=18240 Useful for larger throttle bodies or a messed up one like mine, lol. I plan to update that thread soon with my findings bu...

Re: FlashProManager v2.0.4

Datalog saves from the FlashPro to my laptop are much faster with v2.0.4! Before it would run through the progress bar and then wait an equal amount of time seemingly doing nothing until the file actually gets saved. This 2nd phase has been greatly reduced.

Re: Warmup Ignition Retard

I see the update to v2.0.3. Cool. Just to confirm, I should be increasing the 'expected airflow' at the various TPlate % for a larger TB right? Should the 1st value at 0.5% remain at 0? I wonder if an offset or percentage change should be performed. My guess is that differences are greater at lower ...

Sweet, thanks! Yeah, I understand the Civic has the Throttle Control Module functions built into its ECU unlike the S2000.

Re: Warmup Ignition Retard

Thanks for clarifying. Does this look like an indicator of my throttle plate being more open than it should be at rest? With the ignition on, engine off, the reported TPlate % is 4% during its mechanical rest position. After I blip the throttle to actuate the TB, the minimum TPlate % seems to be 7% ...
