Fuel table changes

The fuel tables should not change when converting from V3.x to V3.x, but will change when converting from V2.5 to V3

P28 vs P72

With V3 the P28 and P72 will run exactly the same. With proper tuning the P72 will not make less power than the P13.

JRSC

> the codes are reading map, tps, both o2, intake air temp

I think you'll need to fix those codes before you have any hope of the car running correctly (to say the least)... probably ECU wires missing or broken when installing the JRSC electronics.

Connection problems

If you have RomEditor make sure you upgrade your ROMs by using the 'File->Convert ROM Version' function.

Update message

The message indicates that the 3.1.3 ROM image is more recent that the image you are loading. Use the 'convert' function to convert from a V3 ROM to a V3 ROM - this will update it.

o2 sensor

Assuming OBD1 ECU: 3.8V indicates the o2 sensor is not working. You will only get a CEL once about 5 minutes after starting the car from cold. Check wiring and/or replace o2 sensor.

Euro K20A2

Call us. We're trying out the re-flash we have here in a local European vehicle, but would like to try it in a few other cars. The octane here is measured using the average of MON and RON, so 97 RON is about 92 or 93 on the US scale. However, the fuel here seems to perform poorly when it comes to pi...

Autotune

Good observation. The autotune options have been in Rom Editor since mid 2000. For V3.1.2 I moved the options onto a new settings tab and added additional options for minimum and maximum lambda. Autotune has been available for several years with the Racelogic emulator but I'll revise it for use with...

hp limits

I don't know why this question comes up so often. There is nothing in the ECU which limits the hp of the engine. The engine itself determines how much power it will make. There are quite a few engines making over 500 hp using Hondata.

Laptop serial ports

Go into the device manager and change the port number allocated to the serial port to com1-com4. Sometimes you have to remove ports assigned to internal modems, set the port for the serial port, then let windows reinstall the drivers for the internal modem(s).

Don't worry about making backups. The CD contains the website, RomEditor and HondaLogger. HondaLogger is available on the website (under downloads).
