Ignition Compensation

What is the quantum or rate of delta in TPS V, for the ignition compensation parameters to kick in? I did a quick calculation ignition retard in 4th gear when the tps goes from 0-30% is 4-7 degrees retard for 10 msecs - does that sound right? Assuming crusie at 3,500 rpm and load point 4, timing is ...

FANC output?

FANC is an output, so will only show on when the ECU is commanding the FANC on, not when the ECT switch is grounding to turn on the fan/s. AFAIK, my USDM OBD I P72 does not use the FANC for anything. It does not use it to turn on the fans for temp (ECT switch grounds) nor the A/C (grounds through t...

Idle

Wondering if there was any thought in maybe adding in a little more adjustment for A/C control. Right now we just have compressor shut-off above a certain RPM and throttle position. Because now when I kick the A/C on it kills my idle down real low and stalls the car sometimes when I press the clutc...

ELD

What about ELD compensation which are not visible in Hondata? You would need to log for ELD and ALTF and build a INJ database round each permutation.

FANC ELD

OK fugured it out. Connect relay terminal 87 to the vehicle body or battery negative terminal. Use a piece of 18-gauge primary wire with a solder-less female spade connector on one end, and a solder-less ring terminal on the other. Connect relay terminal 85 to an automotive circuit breaker (fuse). C...

Helms

OK, will study the HELMs, but that's a good idea to disconnect the FANC and see if the ECT Switch activates the Fan. Likewise, i will disconenct the ECT switch and see if the FANC turns-on the fan.

Wire in a Relay for Fan Control

The DA may not have the wiring that goes to the ECU from the fan. You will have to wire in a relay and run wires from the ECU to the relay to the fan. Appreciate if explain this more. Do you have to put in an additional Relay or use the existing relay in the underhood fuse box (Civic 96-98 OB2a). A...

FANC Faulty wiring, ELD and Idle Stability

I am doing some trouble-shooting on my idle and want to rule out any wiring issue. When my radiator fan activates (air-con off), the FANC should come on and ELD volts should go down, is that right? If the FANC does come on but the radiator is on that means the ECT switch is turning it on right? DO I...

Idle - RPM vs Engine Coolant Tempreture

http://a.imageshack.us/img265/6127/idlemovingrpmvsect.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us [/img] I was interested in setting "Rpm (moving) vs. Engine Coolant Temp" higher at 1,300 r.p.m. versus 1,000 rpm (stationary). Totally missed that. I'd like to hear in your experience how much that setting helps ...

Thanks....I will try it out in 2 weeks as my car is in the workshop.I see you added fuel in the idle portion of the map and increase the rpm to 1,300 rpm in the Parameters>Idle>Idle Speed vs ECT (moving)

Sensor Overlays - More User Friendly

Setting up and toggling of Sensor Overlays could be more user friendly - avoid having to dig down into the setting tabs.

Ability to see INJ millisecs in a table (before compensations)

Sell a separate knockboard to add-on to those ECU without knock.
