I have a question regarding Denso Iridium IK20 (suggested for k20a3) vs. IK22 (suggested k20a2/jdm k20/k20z3/k24a2) its my understanding the IK20 are gapped at .44 & IK22's are gapped at .32 or .35" I think the IK22's are a step colder (9?) another tuner told me for NA .44 is the optium gap - so whi...

K-pro not realizing sensors are going bad???

I remember readig this a while back & I am looking for anyone with experience. I read about how a crank sensor was bad but K-pro did NOT throw a code. Is it possible to have a crank or cam (tdc) sensor to go bad & NOT have K-pro realize it AND/OR also NOT throw a code. There are bunch of us using pr...

one thing to add is - the above has been done after reinstalling the chain. Prior to reinstalling the chain the 3 timing marks (exh gear, intake gear, & marked sprocket of the crank) lined up inbetween 2 links b/c chain slipped off of crank during cam install. On a k20 all 3 marks MUST point in the ...

Help - a few of us making less power after Cam install

this has been an on going saga for some of us - with a wide variety of cams being used (different brands IPS k2, k2 mkII, skunk, etc) -dowel pins on cams checked & not pushed in -cam plates checked & arrows properly line up with parting line of cam caps -cam gear timing marks line up properly with 9...

Anyhow, this issue is of particular importance to me because my engine has less than .015" of v2p at 50deg advance. Technically, things should not touch, but the knock count goes crazy when the cam advances to 50deg, so I limit the cam angle to 40deg via the ECU. This is with no advance/retard on t...
