I'm not quite that far along, yet, but almost!

I should add that I'm using a Motorola 2.5 Bar MAP sensor and made sure it's selected.

What it's going into :)

What does MAP read when...

If the ignition is on but the engine not started, what should I see? When KPro's connected, the other variables are reading fine, but MAP is about -28" or so, which seems odd. Voltage on the A-connector pin is ~1.8V, so I know the signal's getting to the ECU.

Don't have a direct answer but I'd start with an oscilloscope and see what signals are where.

Re: Kpro Base map info needed

...im not trying to spend a crap load of money again just for some tuning... "Just?" This worries me. It's like you got a date with a supermodel and you tell her you aren't going to spend any money on her. It's not looking promising. Though it's a worn-out phrase, you gotta pay to play. Don't mess ...

high/low boost map question

I know KPro can do this, switching between the two based upon a switch input. Can it be switched on-the-fly, or does ignition have to be cycled to have it start using the other map? Also, is it necessary to have the switch wired in when I take it in to be tuned, or can they develop both maps without...

Why do you want to scale it, is it a non-Honda part? As long as the pot is linear and the ends connected to ground and +5V, it'll be fine as-is, no scaling necessary.

^what he said. The nitrous outputs are no different than any other switch. The ECU doesn't know what it's turning on or off, it just knows it set or cleared the output pin. So yeah, use the nitrous output and wire it to an LED lamp.

... i suppose I need to check and see if the hose i bought is ethanol compatible... Hah, you already know the answer to that! Having never used E85, I always see strong recommendations to use only Teflon-lines hose. Not sure where to get that. The same may even be true of race gas... a buddy used t...

... so i cut up a few pieces of the hose i am using in my fuel system and put them in a glass of e85 to see which one or both is not compatible with ethanol. That's exactly what it is, the e85 is dissolving your fuel line. That stuff is really nasty, and you guys really need to redo the entire fuel...

I tried both open and closed-loop, but keep in mind the KPro is in a one-off mid-engine car (see sig.) The cooling system hasn't even been plumbed yet, so I've only run it twice for about 30 seconds at idle. Until coolant has come up to temperature I don't know what I've got. At this point, I've put...

You really need to come at this the opposite direction. Contact AFX for their wiring codes, then connect it up. Just guessing can blow stuff up.

Agreed - loose connection for sure. Either a connector separated (it wasn't fully-seated), or a ground screw hasn't been tightened down. The way I find them is to get the car started, then go over every inch of the harness, wiggling every part of it. When you get to the bad spot, the car will hickup...

Hmm, okay, I'll see what I can do at my end. I hate to think that I may have bought a $1200 boat anchor... I've never heard of anyone who repairs Honda K-series ECUs. Worst case, I guess Hondata can transfer the KPro add-on board from the bad ECU into a good one, right?
