Bummer. Oh well, at least it's good to see Hondata adding an update for the CVT models even though it won't help my CARB version.

For the folks with the race version what exactly does this do?

I have a 2017 CVT model. What exactly does "rolling anti-lag" do? If it helps with the hesitation when rolling along at light throttle and then mashing the pedal, that would be huge.

I think the owner info stays but you could always update it to something fake like Name = name and Email = email.com for security purposes. As far as your VIN and calibration showing, I think you clear that by going to the "history" tab and clearing the info there.

Have you abandoned updating the 2016+ CVT Civics? Seems to me you’re losing out to the competition. Also noticed you are no longer active at the CivicX forum. What gives?

Out of the box, with the base tunes, not really. I have the CVT and Flashpro and off the line performance and throttle response is slightly better than stock only. Hondata is very conservative with their base CVT tunes. On the other hand, if you work with a pro tuner, you certainly can get more off ...

We are aware of your requests. We cannot implement some of the MT features in the CVT (launch anti-lag for instance). Clearly I understand that. And the wait goes on for improvements and features for us 1.5 CVT owners. Guess it's time to consider switching.

BTW, I don't want it to seem like I don't love my FlashPro. I do. It's a great piece of software and my car runs much better than stock.

Jun... What I'm really talking about is drivability tweaks. Stuff like a toggle for improved throttle response. Toggles for a bit faster boost ramp and maybe earlier turbo spooling. The other tuner on the market offers that with it's CVT tunes. I'm surprised Hondata doesn't do something similar. See...

Driving it a bit more I really like the improvement. A bit more power and about the same MPG's as the +6 base tune. I think the throttle response difference I noted was just a placebo effect most likely.

Here's what I did (I have the CARB Flashpro so tuning options are limited). I basically increased the TC MAX Pressure at 2750 rpm and above by 7%. I guess the no response means no plans for tweaking or updating the CVT tunes. Oh well at least there are other options out there that do offer updates and tweaks for their CVT tunes. Too bad Hondata looks at us CVT owners as second class citizens.

It seems like Hondata is regularly updating features and tweaking it's base tunes for the manual transmission cars but almost never tweaks the tunes for the CVT.
