Is there any extra electrical load when the battery voltage dips. Switching on stereo, Aircon coming on, lights ect? If the battery dips with extra load then it could be a faulty battery. Have it load tested.

Are your cooling fans switching on?

You could also have a faulty O2 sensor here.

With MAP tuning the motor will run a lot better. There are also extra parameters for ignition and fuel that are not available with AFM tuning. For example. Individual cylinder ignition trim

MAP tuning is so much better for forced induction and larger injectors.

@ Hondata. I see that you have now made 1.1.6.6 official. This is a problem for us FN2 drivers. As you know some people do not want MAP tuning so that leaves us with MAF tuning. But now we have a problem with MAF tuning and the knock control. The only way I have managed to stop the ecu from retardin...

Are you testing this on a RSP ecu? It happens on every vehicle that I tune with a AFM calibration using the new beta software. There is nothing specific or strange that we are doing. Even using a calibration made in 1.1.5.6 and opening and saving it in 1.1.6.6 and then uploading it, creates this pro...

At the moment I cannot do this on my car as it is turboed and can only run a map calibration. Every other FN2 that I tune with a maf calibration on the new beta software creates this problem with the knock control. Calibrations are made in the same version that is used to upload to the flashpro/ecu.

Here is another calibration and datalog from a FN2. AFM knock control is not working. It remains on 121%. We need this working asap as most of the FN2's use AFM tuning.

At the moment you can see how the ignition is getting retarded like crazy.

I've also noticed this with the FN2's AFM calibration. When using a calibration made in 1.1.5.6 and simply opening it in 1.1.6.3 and saving and uploading the knock control goes to 121% and the ecu retards a lot of timing. What is the reason for this?

I did some circuit racing this past weekend. After 3-4 laps the IAT's where in the 150's I looked at the datalog and not a single knock and 5 degrees was pulled by the new logic. This is great. Off Topic. Derek can you add a function that we could do a peak recall from a datalog? So for example we c...

In reality you are correct it seems to be working that way. We have actually found that the knock limit in boost needs to be -2 in the tables for the compensation tables to work. But this is what the help file says and I wish that Hondata would clear this up "The normal ignition tables contain ...
