Yes... it is K-PRO on my RSX S 2003 with k20a2 it does the same on any setup I load So it is NOT a k20a, it is a k20a2 USDM rsx type-s motor? If so, it sounds to me like your k-pro ecu may be damaged. If an oem ecu works fine, but the k-pro with any calibration is failing, it sounds like a bad ecu....

Re: VTECH Failure (oil presure switch) ERROR
every time I start COLD engine I hear clicking sound from the engine compartment and after some 10 sec get this ERROR. Car would be stalling and would not run in VTECH... After waming up and clearing the error (reloading setlings) it runs OK. This does not happen when I switch back to stock ECU (No...

Fuel overrun cutoff tables
I cannot seem to modify the rpm indexes. I would love to up the highest low cam index to like 2500 or so so I could keep my car from cutting fuel until 20kpa when below 2500. I set the low cam to all 20s and it has pretty much totally eliminated the headache of driving in first gear on the highway d...

k20a3 vtec lower boundry
What is the lowest the vtec point can be set on a k20a3 without having to worry about oil pressure? The k-pro help says 2000 as a general rule, but some k20a3 base maps have it set lower than 2000. For instance, the jrsc base map has it at 1600. Is there a guideline for this motor? Is the difference...

Re: ignition advance
I would think that you are refering to extrapolating? doesn't the computer draws a straight line from one point to another(from one map to another) and extrapolate a number from it. If rpm is used then the straight line would be moving as revs goes up. You mean interpolation? No. I mean there is so...

Re: kpro program problem, need help
Wayne, you are a genious, I did miss part of the map. Everything works veru well. Thanks Bro..... Good deal. This is why when I don't intend to tune cam angles I will edit all tables at once with the edit all tables check box -- at least for fuel. Assuming that the map was somewhat tuned in the fir...

Re: kpro program problem, need help
I have dc5 type r swap in my ek with k-pro. I installed the program for stock type R , I was able to start the car, made it idle and drive very well with some fine tuning. The problem that I have is when you apply full throtle the injectors cut off. But if you gradually step into it, it rev and run...

Real ignition timing
Do the K series engines and ecus use some sort of ignition timing advance based on rpm that goes linearly up as engine speed increases, making the ignition values in the map not the actual ignition timing the motor is seeing, but more like 'advance over engine base ignition'?

You can use sparkplugs.com's online shopping site to check what sensors in what cars are the same ;). Just lookup the 02-04 rsx type-s front sensor part number and then you can look it up on the other cars to see if it's the same. If I recall correctly, the CRV, 02-05 civic si, and 02-04 rsx type-s ...
