K-Pro itself does not get rid of that...you have to tune the car so it does not knock. I understand that, but that's not what I was asking. What I was asking is the behavior (not retarding anything) is constant across both open and closed loop. If so, why is there a K Retard value... what possible ...

Knock retard with kpro
I realize that kpro gets rid of the retard ignition on knock from happening... but my quesiton is is that only at WOT or is that additionally for closed loop cruising? The reason I ask is due to the sheer existance of the K.Retard value. In the sensors window.

TIP for old slow laptop datalogging
Figured I would pass this on: If you are getting a low frame rate in your datalogs, like 13 or so a second like I was, datalog with all windows except 'Display' open. This raised my rate to 50 frames a second, which is what other people reported getting with their laptops. The real time graph was th...

Exporting more fields
I want to export VTS from my datalog in the csv file. Is this possible? Is this going to be available in a future version.

Lean spike right at vtec change
I have a lean spike right where the VTS goes on. I am not getting cut (using the first default lean protection setup) and it's only for literally ONE frame... so, I'm assuming that this is normal and nothing to worry about. I have a k20a2 03 rsx type-s with injen cai, custom magnaflow exhaust, IMG, ...

tuning for ITR cams in k20a2
I realize that there is an itr calibration with kpro, but I still had a few questions remaining. 1) If I have CAI, race header, exhaust, and kpro running with a tuned calibration based off of say the coldair calibration, and add itr cams to it -- will I get much gains with this cam upgrade and shoul...

I managed to get ahold of two hondata dealers that do tuning earlier. One of them basically said that you never really get to the 50 degree cams, that basically, just start with one of the boosted maps and adjust the a/f. He said that basically, adjusting cam at that point is the last step when you ...

if I was able to find a nice flat stretch of road and picked a gear to pull in, is running the in car dyno a possibility? From your response, are you saying that you can and are suposed to tune all the way up to 50 degrees cam on boost? What maps should one use when tuning a boosted engine -- are th...

Questions about tuning (dyno, boosted applications...)
I've got a k20a2 rsx type-s that I'm going to be putting a HKS turbo kit with FMIC on. I think I will be using a new fuel pump and 550 cc injectors (12 ohm). I've pretty much decided to go with kpro after seeing the videos -- being a software engineer, I know first hand what it takes to do what you ...
