Windows 7

Post by Hondata » Thu Jan 15, 2009 10:00 am

We have tested SManager and KManager under Windows 7. Both work on the 32 bit version, but do not on the 64 bit version.

With the 64 bit version it appears that Windows 7 has a bug which prevents it from recognising the USB driver WHQL signing. There is no work-around from our end. Hopefully it will be fixed in an upcoming Windows update.

Update: This problem was fixed before Windows RTM. All our software (KManager, SManager, FlashProManager) works with Windows 7, both 32 and 64 bit.

In each boot you press F8 and select the option to install and run non-signed drivers. But this is not persistent and in the next boot the user needs to press F8 again and repeat.

We have tested the drivers (KPro, S300, RE4, FlashPro) with Windows 7 RC1, both 32 and 64, and they work ok.

Avast is deleting the installation, including the USB drivers.

I've been running Win7 Pro for a few months with no issues running SManager but it is on a desktop and have not had a chance to connect it to a actual s300 because I have not unplugged it and moved it to the garage.

Edit Win7 32 Bit

I corrected my previous post because it sounded like I had an issue what I ment is I have not had a chance to move my desktop out to the garage because I am running XP on the laptop and Win7 on the big computer inside the house.

Having issues with my Lenovo Yogo Notebook/tablet. It has windows 8 on it and it won't let me open the software. The laptop troubleshoot even lets me try to open it with windows 7 and vista and still send me a error screen. Is Hondata windows 8 compatible?

Yes it is. You probalby have antivirus software that is deleting the file. Uninstall your antivirus software and see if that resolves the issue.
