Need Advice on which ECU should I use for s300

Post by Shibikku »

Hello Everyone,

I have JDM SiR-G (GSR 94-97 off of HMotorsOnline) motor in my 2000 civic. I am currently running the P72J OBD2a ECU (with OBD2b to OBD2a harness). I would like to run s300 for my stock GSR motor, but I need some advice on what to do:

a) can i use my OBD2a P72J ecu with s300?

b) get an jumper harness down to OBD1 P72 with s300

Ive read that p28 does not have knock sensor, do I really need knock sensor capability? I dont think I can program IAB on the p28 can I?

please advice, Thank you!

To use a Hondata system, you will need to use a compatible OBD1 ecu from the list at http://www.hondata.com/ecus.html

To use IAB control you will need a P72. You do not need knock control.
