Can anybody please tell me if my ECU is automatic or manual
ECU
Manual. Automatic ECUs have a 5 in the second to last digit of the part number. e.g. P28-A52 is auto, P28-A02 is manual.

When I send my P28 off to be socketed, can/will Hondata also convert it from manual to automatic?
Also...in the installation manual I see that for OBD-1 ECU's, to convert from automatic to manual it says, "Between the ROM and the side of the ECU case are a number of jumper resistors labelled with RP. Remove RP17 and install a jumper across RP18." Well, I'm looking into my P28-A52 right now and there is no jumper in RP17 and there's already one in RP18. VERY strange, as I'm fairly certain I am the first to ever open the case on this ECU.

I have been getting a code 19. I have a P30-941. Is that automatic? If so, I am looking for RP18. Where is it? On the daughter board, there is an R18. I am doubtful that is it as I understood the DB was for the knock sensor.
Also, I have been getting the code 20- electronic load detector. I have a Canadian-spec car that does not employ the JDM/USDM ELD. Can I program that out or hook something up to D16, I believe it is, to make the ECU think an ELD is there?
