ECU Identification B16 JDM

Post by uppertorso »

I have just recently purchased a B16 JDM OBD0, with standard transaxle.
I was supplied with an ECU part number :
37820-PR3-901
I have recieved mixed information wether this ECU is for a Manual or Automatic transmission.

Was I supplied the correct ECU???
thanks for any input

I think you have a manual. The zero: XXXXX-XXX-X0X usually means that it is a manual, as does any number less than five in this position. Either way it's only a matter of moving a jumper in the ECU to convert back and forth between manual and automatic.

PR3-JOO is pre OBD-1 with OBD1 style sockets. Not Hondata compatible.

ok and your point is? i wasnt asking OBD compatibility with Hondata, cause i thought my question was which ECU do i have from the code? im very well aware this is a non OBD ECU since both my car and B16A are too. thanks

I gave you an insight about your ECU. What are you asking then? Because this is a HONDATA APPLICATIONS thread.

That ECU came from late version EF9s, integra Xsi nad Rsi. The tranny they are using is a close ratio (JDM YS1) cable type.

I was implying that you could unload it on ebay. I was under the assumption that you were looking to get an ECU for use with Hondata, seeing that this is a Hondata forum. My bad for making false presumptions.

no its cool.........thats where i bought it from........i came here to find out which ECU i had since this forum does have to do with honda ECU's. i just wanted to verify that i did indeed have a Manual ECU. so i guess i do, and thanks.

Are you sure about that? I have PR3 ECU here, PN: 37820-PR3-J00

It has OBD0 style plugs and was used by sg-t for Hondata.
