p28 ecu for 2000 civic si

Post by spids5 »

I have a 2000 Civic Si with a b16a2. I'm going to port and polish, blueprint and put in all civic type r internals...pistons, cam, valvetrain...etc. into my engine. I know I'm going to have to tune my car to get its full potentical, so I want to add the s200 but I know I need to get an obd1 ecu. I just want to know if the p28 ecu will work directly with my car not counting the obd2 to obd1 wire harness. I'm not sure if I have to have it chipped for the DOHC engine sense the p28 ecu comes out of a SOHC engines. I would also like to know if s200 is the best hondata product for this.

I would also like to know which would be the best ecu to run in my car, the p28, p30 or p72.

I would say run the P28. S200 is top of the line Hondata equip., and especially if you get all the goodies with it.
