Hello Hondata,

First I want to say thank you for developing this for 9th gen owners..I had a few questions I was hoping you could answer

Will this mess with the I-mid display at all? or the fuel gauge (not 100% accurate) and maintenance minder (always at 100%) like FP did on the 8th's?

Also, does this eliminate Rev Hang? adjust Vtec engagement? and remove speed limiter?

The dyno graph shows some pretty incredible hp and trq numbers for a stock si, can you share any details as to what type of dyno the vehicle was tested on and if regardless of the type of dyno, the hp and trq differential from stock would apply? )20hp and 4-10 trq.

The imid display, fuel gauge, maintenance minder etc are not changed in any way by the reflash. BTW the 2006-2011 FlashPro do not effect any of these items either, apart from the race calibrations which disabled the maintenance minder.

Rev hang is vastly reduced. VTEC is at 5000 rpm. Speed limiter is 250 mph.

It is a dynapak. Reading as going to be 8% higher than a dynojet, depending on tires etc.

Whats going on Hondata?

Right when I saw the thread on 9thgencivic.com I ordered the reflash through CorsSportUSA.com

I have a couple questions before I send my ECU out to get flashed.

My first question is do I need to send my immobilizer with the ECU?

Whats the usual turn around time? If I overnight it monday will I get it back by the end of the week?

This question is kind of stupid but will you guys include your really cool stickers and a plate frame?

Keep up the great work! This is so exciting!

You do not need to send the key and immobilizer.

Usually we turn the ECUs around in two days, so if you send on Monday you'll get it Thursday.

We do send stickers - I'm not sure about the license frame.

Will the turn around time be the same to Canadian customers? If not how much longer will it be?

What's your ECU part number? It is a reflash for the UD Civic, and I;d be surprised if the Canadian Civic used the same ECU.

I am confused as who pays the overnight shipping, is it included in the price? Either one way or both ways? or is the round trip cost all mine?

The price of the reflash includes overnight return shipping back to you. You pay for whatever speed of shipping you desire when you ship it to them. So if you want the ECU back fastest, you pay for overnight when you send it.

Shiping costs are not included in any reflash price. Contact the dealer for complete pricing including shipping.

Reflash with CAI

It is my understanding the stock 2012 Si is very adaptive, meaning it easily rejects bolt-on mods and continually makes corrections returning any benefit one might get from a properly designed Air Intake back to stock configurations.

Will this be the case with the reflash? Am I more likely to benefit from a properly designed CAI with the reflash than without? Is the reflashed ECU less likely to reject these minor mods?

(I am aware this reflash was done on a stock motor... although you mention this "should work well with a properly designed intake and exhaust)

Any clarification would be appreciated.

Thanks

The changes made to the reflash only affect full throttle operation. You will not see any gains made with the reflash and bolt ons disappear over time.

Honda dealer 'updating' ECU erasing Reflash.

Received my reflash last week... works great thanks. I'm having seat repaired at the dealer for warranty work... aside from engine service, is there any reason for a dealer to touch ECU programing? (disable seat air bag etc?)

This may come across as a vague question, but I'm worried about losing the reflash, & would rather not tell the dealer due to warranty concerns.

Thanks

Normally a dealer will only reflash the ECU if there is a problem related to the ECU or sensors.

Thanks. To what degree has the cam angle been modified from factory settings?
