K20z3 ecu

Post by Jhardy »

Hi Spunkster,

My situation is this: I have a 2002 RSX-S with the reflash, but I'm about to swap in the K20z3 engine from the 2008 Civic Si.

Now, I'm wondering if I can use the reflash inside my ecu to run the k20z3, or if it will be impossible. I've notice that the k20z3 ECU is under the hood, so I'm thinking that those 2 ecu are completely different. If so, should I desactivate or remove my k20a2 reflashed ECU in order to avoid any conflict?

Anything else I should know before swaping?

thank you

You'll really need the K-Pro to properly tune the new engine. You will also have issues with the manifold and throttle body.

Ok,

The guys doing the swap told me they will be keeping the intake manifold and the throttle body from my Type-S to avoid the drive by wire throttle.

They're saying I can plug the k20a2 reflash for a bit but really recommended KPro as you did. So with this setting, can I run Kpro inside the k20z3?

im in the same boat. it would be nice to save some dyno time and work off the z3 reflash if it can be loaded into kpro.

Have you found some k20z3 base map for Kpro?

I've read somewhere that the k20z3 runs rich at high rpm.
Thats why I'm confident in running the k20a2 reflash with a race header, but I think it's better off with KPro in a nearby future.
