Is there a shift light function?

Post by Ramocheese »

Is there an easy way to have the check engine light (or any other light) kick on when you reach a certain rpm? If not, is this something that is a possibility for a new software version?

On AP2 S2000's, as soon as you go past 8000rpm range, the entire redline area blinks, so you have no idea what RPM you are really at without looking on the laptop during a datalog. Most AP2's bump their rev limit up to 8500 rpm so it is hard to figure out exactly when to shift without tagging the actual rev limiter.

No there is no shiftlight feature on the K-Pro and is probably not possible for the future either. You can get aftermarket shiftlights though.

Get creative with the nitrous outputs.

^what he said. The nitrous outputs are no different than any other switch. The ECU doesn't know what it's turning on or off, it just knows it set or cleared the output pin. So yeah, use the nitrous output and wire it to an LED lamp.
