Setting up boost by gear on kpro..

Post by Axix23 »

I am trying to set up boost by gear right now. I have read all the help files and still have some questions. I am currently around 11-12 psi off the wastegate spring but I would like now to run boost by gear.

A few questions on some settings are: solenoid config, solenoid activation psi, duty cycle limits, pressure vs duty cycle table, and also the low/high boost control. Not sure what to select or input. I would like to stay within the 11-13 psi range and thats why I selected the 0% duty cycle.

I don't have an external switch but just would like to run low boost table by gear all the time. Which setting should I choose? Thanks.

I have attached a copy of my current kal with some of the settings I have already picked.

You asked a different question than me. I am trying to get boost control set up.

Here is some datalogs, with the bc turned on, I am creeping past 15 psi.
With it off, I am roughly around 9-10 psi... I tried boost by gear and fixed duty cycle, but creeped past 15 psi... Any ideas?

I am using 0% duty cycle. EVerything is hooked up right, followed the diagrams.

I am trying to get my boost by gear setup in my kpro..

I got 2 questions: Under low/high boost control, what selection do I need to pick? (I am not running a external switch), so if I select "always on," does this mean, HIGH BOOST tables are always used?

And if I select "always off," does that mean LOW BOOST tables are always used?

And the duty vs pressure tables.. What values do I enter or should i leave it with the default values on?

If you are not planning to run a high boost setting using different fuel or something like that then don't worry about it. Just leave it on the low boost table and adjust everything as needed for boost by gear.

ok thanks. So, I just leave the duty vs pressure table on default values?

No, you have to set up a duty vs. presure table by trying different duty cycles and recording the pressure it gives.
