Hello, I have a problem with my K24-t, when I pull the car up to speed, the car starts to fail, (it looks when it fails gasoline), continues to speeed get an error and the engine lights up the breakdown and off, and the error that appears when you turn the light fault is this -

22-4 Error-VTEC system malfunction P1259 (oil pressure switch)

the oil I'm using the engine is 40W-10 MOTUL, do not know whether to be using this type of oil may affect the valve VETC.

I want somebody who can help or if anyone has had this fault.

Check the screen on the vtec solenoid. Maybe replace the entire solenoid. also check the oil level, if its too low vtec won't engage.
