It should not idle that high. Check for vacuum leaks first, then clean the idle valve.

If you block off the IACV port in the throttle body, does the engine stall?

Car still idles high on start up but have a new problem! Unless car is let to warm up for 10 min before driving it dies every time the clutch is pushed in...It will not die while driving or when warmed up but I hit the clutch, it idles down and dies...2002 rsx s jrsc 9psi kpro

I have thesame problem, mine is at 1800 rpm approx.
How can we check for vacuum leaks?
All the tubes are connected to my cold air intake. I have not yet checked my IACV valve however.
But after 20 seconds it lowers to 1500 rpm.

I think he's suggesting that this would be a really good test. :)

I also had luck playing with the Idle Valve Duty Cycle Adj slider when my idle was high.

Remove your intake pipe and, with the car running, put your fingers over the iacv port inside the throttle body to block air going into it. If the car doesn't die you probably have one hell of a vacumn leak. You can also try spraying brake cleaner around the various fittings to see if the motor stumbles a bit.
