MAP sensor issue

Post by cukali »

Tried searching, couldnt get results....

K24A1 swapped into EG.
Kpro
440cc injectors
Told its a K20A2 harness and ECU
(helping an individual out of my area)

Problem is his map sensor is not reading properly. STOCK map sensor option gives idle vacuum of about 90kpa and full throttle at 100kpa. Car obviously floods. Replaced with new sensor and same issue. I had him select Motec 3 bar (wich goves a higher vacuum reading) and car starts and runs fine. Wiring I am told is correct, but I will have him test with a meter the connecotr shortly.

Anyone know of any known issues like this? The engine that was in the vehicle prior was a K20A2 with same harness and ecu and ran fine. MAP worked fine.

Thnx in advance.

Try the ECU in a known working vehicle and see if it reads correctly.
