Kpro 4 lost bluetooth connection and digital wideband input

Post by jbt »

Today my kpro 4 lost it's ability to connect to the app or my computer via bluetooth. At the same time it also lost the connection to my PLX wideband. The PLX controller feeds the Kpro through the digital input channel. In the app the kpro is not found and on the computer the kpro is found but I get a error message when I try to connect. The message says "could not connect via bluetooth (10060)"
I have tested the PLX controller and wideband sensor and it's working as it should through the analog output, haven't tested the digital output though.
Any ideas what to do?

What is the serial number that is on the K-Pro board onside the ECU?

From Help, About, what is the version of software you are using?

Are you able to datalog in Kmanager via USB and upload to the ECU?

At the moment I can datalog via USB and upload. But when I discovered the problem I also had problems connecting through USB. Sometimes it connected and sometimes not. So I updated my kmanager software first to the 4.2.5 version which didn't work at all (kmanager crashed when trying to upload), and then to the latest version which worked. I think it also updated the firmware in the ECU at the same time. Since then I have been able connect via USB and upload to the ecu.
I also tried uploading another calibration to the ECU to see if there was any difference but nothing changed.

When you click the K-Pro button in Kmanager and then go to the Bluetooth tab, what shows up?

Try changing the PIN to 0000 and then reconnect via Bluetooth.

Didn't work.
The wideband digital input is still lost also.

Try disconnecting the digital input plug from inside the ECU and see if the Bluetooth works.

Disconnecting the digital plug from the kpro board but it didn't help.

Can you see it listed as a device to connect to using the app?

Now the bluetooth suddenly started to work again. The only thing that I have done is reloading the software a couple of times and trying to get the wideband to work. I wonder if it's something wrong with the kpro board or software?
But I still don't have any wideband. I have changed the wideband from digital to analogue but I still don't get any value. I also tried the analogue 0 as raw voltage but it says 0 although I get 3.5v when I measure with a multimeter.

Post your calibration as well as a datalog showing the issue. Have you gone back and looked at old datalogs to see if you can see the data in those?
