Hi Hondata,
First of all, I am not asking about the oil pressure switch on the engine block.
The VTEC solenoid pressure switch I meant here is the one next to VTEC solenoid.
Will Kpro4 scan the status of this switch if the engine operating RPM is less than what the VTEC activation RPM? Let say VTEC point is 5000RPM, if the VTEC pressure switch is open circuit below 5000RPM, will it trigger the ECU into limb mode?
Thanks
K-Series VTEC Solenoid Pressure Switch
Re: K-Series VTEC Solenoid Pressure Switch
IF using a US ECU it will detect if there is enough pressure to activate VTEC, if it does not have pressure it will not activate VTEC.

It will not activate VTEC, but will it kick into limb mode?IF using a US ECU it will detect if there is enough pressure to activate VTEC, if it does not have pressure it will not activate VTEC.
It is Australia DC5 RSX Base PND ECU with Kpro4. Engine is K24A1 Turbo with VTEC Killer (K20A Type R cams) setup.
Since it has no VTEC and rocker arms always riding on the high cam lobe, these VTEC solenoid and VTEC pressure switch have became redundant. Might as well use it as fail safe measures.
Here is my idea.
1) Set VTEC to 1000RPM.
2) If anywhere during the operation the VTEC pressure switch became "abnormal" state = no oil pressure, the Kpro4 will goes into limb mode.
Does this make sense?
Re: K-Series VTEC Solenoid Pressure Switch
No, it does not work like this. If VTEC works on this ECU with the vtec oil pressure switch enabled then you have a vtec pressure switch and that is your failsafe.
