Kpro v4 alternate vss.

Post by K20RX7 »

Hello guys.

Having a bit of an issue with getting a speed on my kpro.

Using stock rx7 fd gearbox which is a gear driven sensor that has ac v. 8 pulses per revolution.

I don’t know if it hall or reluctor though.

I only get 158mph or zero on my kpro when connected.

If I can’t use my sensor what type of sensor should I use? I can weld some pickup tabs on the propshaft and mount the sensor next to that if need be.

Look forward to any reply’s.

You might be able to get it to work using an ABS to square wave converter.

Ahhh wait so mines is an ac signal

The hondata need a square wave?

Could you tell me what won’t work? Would an abs sensor work?

Is it hall or reluctor I need?

How many pulses per rotation is ideal. Obviously more than 10 isn’t going to be great.

It needs a square wave, or at least something that is not AC.

8 pulses per revolution is good.

sweet.

I got it working. The stock clocks take it in at ac 8 pulses per rev and convert it to square wave 4 pulses per rev. Now I’m just rounding down the pulses per mile.
So that’s sorted.

Is there a setting that don’t let lambada overlay work in boost colums. Even holding steady in a cell in boost won’t overlay.

Post your calibration and a datalog showing the issue.

Since the wave is described as AC then I assume that it is an inductive pickup, in which case 'd be worried about feeding 50V into the KPro since the amplitude of an inductive pickup is proportional to the rotational speed. It could be the description as AC is wrong.
