Vtec Pressure

Hello All,

Start out with its a K24A2 with Kpro V4 in a 94 EG Hatch. The car has been tuned all ready but when the car is cold you have to keep it idled up until it warms up around 185 and then it will idle and run smooth by itself. During the warm up every once in a while you can hear a pop noise like you hit the valve cover with a wrench if if the idle drops during warm up. AT idle oil pressure is 20psi hot and 50-60psi while driving. We data logged some today and you can see the VTP comes during low rpm moving just moving out of our driveway. Both the switch and the pressure for the vtec are new when the engine was built few months ago. The engine has the k20 oil pump kit from TracTuff with the baffle and we have an AEM digital pressure gage, timing chains and guides along with the timing chain tensioner is all from Honda and the cams are stock k24 with 50vtc. Valve lash has been checked and rechecked and the oil has been changed three times and the car might have 30 miles on it. That was brake in and dyno time then the last oil change to 10-40.

Stock Cams with 50vtc
KTuned Ram header with full 3" stainless exhaust
RBC with K Tuned 80mm throttle body
ID 1050 Injectors and DW400 pump.
