ECU shutting down?

Post by tsrperformance »

Check out this log. At the upper rpm range, everything pretty much goes default. All grounds are good, using resistor type plugs. I know its running rich. Any ideas? thanks in advance

Can you describe the application? Why is the knock sensor disabled? Why is the speed sensor disabled?

it is a 2006 type s. full-race turbo kit. pl4-rc1000s.
I was disabling sensors to try to narrow down the problem. for this particular log, they just werent enabled. on previous logs, no knock was detected and the speed sensor was working properly until this glitch or whatever it may be happened. Also Ive added grounds directly to the sensors such as the tps, map, vss, etc. to ensure they have proper grounds. And according to the logs, voltage isnt dropping.

There appears to be a problem with your TPS sensor if you have it set to 60% for wide open throttle.

you have a rev limit set at 8500 and you are hitting the rev limit. You are also not getting a speed signal.

it doesnt feel like a rev limit. more like a boost cut. I can get a speed sensor signal, i just have to plug it in. Wouldnt a rev limit kind of skip around at that rpm range? not just drop off like a boost cut?

Since this is all happening after a rev limit it may be that you have a bad ground in the engine bay that is being agrevated by the added movement and vibration when the engine moves from the rev limit.
