Cold startup problem!!!

Post by adeeb1395 »

problem no: 1
when i startup my car in

first try it doesn't respond only cranks (fuel pump priming set to 3s)
second try it fires up hardly revs upto 300-400 then dies
third try it fires up revs up to 300-400, struggles then idle to 1200 or something

problem no: 2

when i slightly rev the engine while its cold (after idling for 5-10 mins which is not warm enough )

the rev drops then climbs back
(it doesnt drop while the rev is coming down only while going up)
but after 2k rpm there is no symptoms of this. the engine response is just fine. the prob shows below 2k rpm.
and when warmed up the rev dropping and climbing back almost goes away

problem no: 3

my idle is set at 800rpm
when cold startup it idles above 1k rpm upto 1200rpm
but when the engine is warmed up it idles about 400-500rpm.

what can be the problem? (iacv is clean and works fine)

Has this been fully tuned on the dyno?

What exactly has been done to the engine?

It sounds like the idle needs to be set following the factory service manual instructions. This could also be a tuning issue as it sounds like it is not getting enough fuel.
