So as of the end of last season we have been noticing the VSS signal has been sporadic. The car is on s300 and we use the pwm boost by gear. So when the vss signal drops say 30 mph that will put the PWM % at a lower % because its sampling from the next gear down. Timing and boost are affected as well as any gear comps I have set up.

Here is the set up:

92 civic
S300 v1 in a p28
built sleeved gsr
liberty trans
24.5 tire
850-900 hp

Any one seen this before? any suggestions?

This looks like you are getting wheel spin and then the VSS will read lower once you get traction.

I don't think it's wheel spin. The car has a respectable short track, especially for a small tire. Also the issue is occurring in 4th gear, and I doubt it's spinning at 160mph

1.50 60ft
4.1 330ft
6.1 @ 124 at the 1/8 mile

Is it possible that there could be electrical interference causing this? I am thinking of making a separate harness for the vss to isolate the signal wire....

Check the speed sensor or the plug, sometimes get loose on the pins
