fuel pressure datalog
fuel pressure datalog
I installed an AEM 100psi fuel pressure sensor on analog input 2 (B6). Is it normal for a walbro 255 to fluctuate this much in boost or is this a problem with the sensor/datalogging. I'm using an old S300 V1. Car is a 98 civic, turbo D16y8, ID1000, GT3071R. I already swapped pumps, fuel filer and FPR its doing the same thing. Stock FPR.

Re: fuel pressure datalog
What values did you enter for the voltage to pressure table?
Re: fuel pressure datalog
I posted the .ini for settings, are you able to view it? Its a linear sensor so I added more data points then necessary. I entered the values found on the datasheet that came with the sensor. I'm not at my computer now but I think its 0.5v = 0psi and 4.5v = 100psi
Re: fuel pressure datalog
Please post the values you used, or include a screenshot of your settings.
Re: fuel pressure datalog
and yes I removed R2 and R3, at some point I was using this input for the innovate WB, which is now on D12.

Re: fuel pressure datalog
Without comparing this to a mechanical fuel pressure gauge it is impossible to say if it is actually doing that or if there is noise on the signal into the ECU. It does not seem normal. Where is the sensor located in the fuel system?
Re: fuel pressure datalog
Sensor is mounted directly to the fuel rail.
Re: fuel pressure datalog
So your saying it does not seem normal? I tried a completely different s300/p28 combo and I get the same choppy datalogging results. I fail to believe this brand new AEM sensor is faulty and 2 different 255 pumps, FPR and filter do the same thing. The overall wiring in the car, engine harness, fuel pump wiring etc. is the lease molested wiring in the country.
Re: fuel pressure datalog
Fuel pressure often datalogs fairly jagged. It is not helped by a slow datalogging rate. Can you make a datalog using the on board datalogging in order to get a higher sampling rate?
