S300 issue

Post by Knox »

Hi,

One of my friend import a s300 with p28 ecu and I tuned it. After 7 8 days one issue comes on, engine starts normally but launch control and vtec did not engage and I can not datalog anything. After I took the s300 and install again first it makes same thing but after it starts to datalog and launch control and vtec starts to work. After some days same problem occurs again. I took out the s300 and re solder all the pins (some of them looks bad). After that again everything works but after some days again same problem. So I don't think its connection problem, first I tought p28 is not working and may be it forgets the map inside but if its like that engine shouldn't work (before I had a bad ecu and even fuel pump did not prime). So what you think hondata or spunster, which one is broken s300 or p28?

Can you give me some advices for checking possibilities ?

Thanks

What is the serial number on the s300 board inside the ECU?

From Help, About, what is the version of software you are using?

Post your calibration and a datalog showing the issue.

Here is the calibration but I don't have datalog because when this problem occurs I can not do anything, I even can not upload calibration. After some (2 3 times) take out the s300 and install again everything works perfect.

First time I have an issue like this and we will change the p28 and try it but I afraid this time may be s300 is the issue because when this ecu arrived the 4 pins are curved, I mean the black cover of 4 pins on s300 are curved and its not fit to the male pins on p28 and I correct it with my hand it works but after this issues starts. I wish I pictured it.

Make sure that the pins are not broken under the black connector. You can gently pull the black part off and make sure they are in tact, then put the black piece back on.
