B18c over heat protection

Post by Lyle_57IAL »

Hey hondata,

Currently working on a B18c Honda integra turbo that has both a front mounted intercooler, and aircon condenser core in front of the oem full size radiator. Because of this the temps get a little warmer then usual when hitting low road speeds.

What is a recommended over temperature protection value that both won't cause engine CEL but will still protect against any engine damage.
115 deg C be ok ?

Cheers

115C / 250F would be the upper limit of coolant temperature. Shrouding helps a lot, and hood venting (near the front) if feasible.
