I got a hondata s300 recently want to get a tune myself for the B18c N.A
I just put the base map for it now, and i can see it is a little bit lean show on the afr gauge. so I added some fuel, the afr is around 13.x with open loop, i think that is in the safety range, but i dun know do i need to retard the timing before the road tuning? if yes, I dun how much timing I should retarded. I dun have a concept on the timing. I will do the road tuning with knock box and headset to monitor the knocking, i just a afraid that base map is not suitable for my engine and have a damage while tuning particle throttle.
Thanks!!
S300 tune beginner few question.
Re: S300 tune beginner few question.
Are you running high compression, or just a stock B18C? If stock, leave the timing maps where they are as a starting point. The best way to adjust timing is on a dyno where you can record and see small power changes, and make adjustments accordingly.

I running with 82mm p73 piston and thinner gasket, i think the compression should be higher than stock a little.
