cool idle feature request

Post by turbotypeR »

One of our shop cars has a BigStuff3 ems and it has a cool idle feature that works really well. I was wondering if it would be possible to add something simular to the s300.
It has a scale going left to right. The middle being 0 rpm and 8-10 boxes to the right and left of it. The ones to the right go up in rpm and the ones on the left go -rpm something like:
-1600 -1300 -1000 -700 - 400 -100 0 100 400 700 1000 1300 1600
There is a target rpm set and that would be zero. The other numbers represent either rpm above or below the target. Above each one of these rpms, you can add timing to raise the rpm back to the target and retard timing to lower the rpm to the target. The way I wound up setting the one on our car wound up looking like this:
_+10__+8___+6___+4__+4___+2 0_-2__-4__-4__-6___-8__-10
-1600 -1300 -1000 -700 - 400 -100 0 100 400 700 1000 1300 1600
I hope this makes sense. I used it on a car with pretty large injectors and it worked great. I think it would help a good bit on cars with large injectors not using the IAC.
Do you think something like this could be in our future?
