S200 Options

Post by Miruni »

Hello,

A friend of mine has bought a S200 for his B16A2 engine with P30-G00 ecu.
He ask me too install it. And too program the ecu on the dyno.
I have read all the page's on hondata about the S200.
Is it right that I can only datalogging with S200 and not programming
the ignition and fuel maps directly with the S200 interface?

When I read it right I need too program the ecu with a emulator.
So that is what I also normally do when I chip a car.
But my friend has bought this system so he can make by him self changes
in the ignition and fuel maps.
Is it right that he must buy then the S300?

Thanks,
Rudy

Yes it will be cheaper and easier for him to upgrade to the s300 if he wants to tune himself.

Oke I will discuss with him about the S300.

I read the website a few times but I can't really read what the S200 is doing.

What does the S200 exactly? Datalogging?

We have the S200 but do I need it too program the ecu?
If i have a emulator and romeditor 4 then I can program the car where
is the S200 then for?
Is the S200 used for tracing from the maps?

Do I need a special base program too use romeditor 4?
Do I have too pay for romeditor 4?

Can you give a short answer on all my question's.
I think it will help a lot people too clear this out.

Thanks,
Rudy

The s200 is discontinued. It costs more to purchase the software and hardware to tune an s200 and you dont' have as many features and it is much mor complicatied to get working and tune with.

Your company has selled this product.
So I think it's very normal that we get information about this product.

The s200 is used for datalogging and also without it the car will not rev past 4000 RPM. To tune with teh s200 you must purchase Romeditor 4 and an emulator and an chip burner. The cost to do all this makes using the s200 undesirable.
