At the very least, does someone share my skepticism about the tune? Notice how my top end HP drops substantially at 6800ish rpm. STOCK b16 redline is at 8200 and is fully capapble of making power to that point. Now I realize my wastegate opens at 5.5psi and will dump everything else. . but it should still make realatively consistant 5.5psi of boost and thus make power thoughout the rpm range as long as there is fuel to do so. . now call me crazy, but i think my 750cc injectors are more than capable to supply said fuel for such minimal boost. If you look at the calibration, take a glance at the fuel tables. . . Now again, feel free to tell me otherwise, but does the fuel output just stop is gradual increase and dive off a cliff? Right about the time my HP takes a dive as well?

File comment: Titled Basetune as its not much of a tune, but it starts, runs, and is safe at 5.5psi.

I know im complaining, but I just dont like the idea of paying $300 for a dynotune for at least the wastegate spring. Again, i wasnt willing to pay ANOTHER $300 for my tuner to install the boost solenoid and components to the ECU, nor $80 for a boost controller plus whatever for install since i was planning on getting the solenoid and run in fixed duty till i tune for boost by gear. Would be more of a waste of money. So i settled for a tune for whatever the wastegate would give me, and i dont think i even got that. Also they did not test the two other springs i BROUGHT THEM for my wastegate. . just left them as is. And told me the manual boost controller i had was a POS. . granted it probably was, but they said i could pay them $50 to put it on just to take it off. I think it would have at the very least given me more than the spring.
My theory. . . i thought i was getting boost by gear tune for $500 but they raised that to $700 for install of solenoid and Tune. I said i cant do $700 so just give me a regular tune. They suggested $80 for a boost controller so i can push 12psi (what they thought i would max out at) with it. I said i would rather pay the $150 for the solenoid and run it as an EBoost Controller fixed. He said it cant be done. However, research says it can. . So I insisted in it. Well the price jumped to $300 for install. $300+$300=$600. . only $100 less than what they were EXPECTING me to pay initially for the full boost by gear tune. Now, doing this math in my head i wasnt gonna pay $100 more than i though i would be getting boost by gear initially at for only a standard tune. I COULDNT afford it. I alloted for the $500. Well I backed down and said no thanks, give me my emmissions tune back and i will go elsewhere. They told me the tune was
almost done and would have to pay the $300 reguardless. I'm thinking Fine, whatever, give me the finished tune and i will deal elsewhere. Well. . . i payed the $300, and im thinking i got the
almost done tune not a
done tune because i refused to give them the money they were expecting from the start. . .
And for the record i am coming to the closest thing to HONDATA as i can about this issue, because i want them to tell me that yes they feel that A)prices are fair for install, B)that the tune i payed for is infact complete.
In a way im trying to open the eyes of HONDATA to what one of their OFFICIAL RETAILERS/INSTALLERS is doing. And if they find its perfectly fine, then I guess i need to count my losses, feeling like i was screwed royally.
