i have a 92 civic hatch the i swapped a h22a euro type r into and i cant get it to start. i am at a complete loss, i have fuel pressure and spark with compression. the only dtc it displays is 23ks and i dont know why it does. but it will crank and the computer will data loge and i have uploded a h22a base map but it wont start. i am not sure why but i think it has to do with the electrical. when it is connected and datalogging it only recognizes that 3 sensors are on none of which should be like the power steering pressure sensor say its on when i dont have that sensor let alone power steering. but most of the sensors i have connected are reading off.

What is the serial number that is on the s300?

On the s300 board inside the ECU.

it is a p28 ecu verified working pre owned serial#37820-p28-a52 and swapshopracing installed the s300 v3 serial#39959 software version 2.5.5.0

also i am not sure if it is normal or not but now that i have removed the cover i can here a faint rattling near the s300 chip.

Have you tried the ECU in a known working vehicle?

no i have not i do not have another vehicle available to try it in. my other honda is an 01 so its obd2. i have a friend that has a chipped p13 running his jdm h22a in an eg civic and i was going to try that in my car tonight when i get off work. any suggestions or advice that may help? also does a 92 civic have an immobilizer system with the security system that may be causing it to not start?

You need to try it in your friend's car since it is known running. There is no immobilizer on an OBD1 ecu.

i was able to test my ecu in another eg civic with an h22a and it started and ran fine. ( a little rich) also i just replaced my ignition coil and it still wont start any suggestions on what i should check?

Have you check your actual timing on your timing belt?

i have not but wouldn't it be apparent during checking compression?

Turns out the h22 had rust in it and it seized. But I have replaced it with an f20b and it is running healthy now.
