b 20 tune help

Post by XCRUNNER2616 »

i have a 97 b20b head on a rebuilt bottom end. high comp pistions. eagle crank, rods. head has not been gone through. aem wideband is reading around .75 under load and the plugs are cotton white. can anyone help me with what i would need to do to correct my basemap tune in order to compensate for the high comp pistons.

motor is in time.

Has this been properly tuned on the dyno?

If you want to learn da wae, u must buy wideband o2. Tuning high comp from the baseman searching plugs will no way get you there.

Depending on Comp. It will like different afr values at different loads. WOT for a hicomp motor will probably be somewhere mid to low 12s on 92 or 93 pump gas. But it depends, and too rich can ruin oil and other things so learn at your own risk.

Looking at Stock B20 map the fuel map is very choppy and needs smoothed out from the start.

You arebplaying with fire running high comp on a stock tune.
